Using the provided kit, it is possible to read the ECU and write it using the OBD cable directly, without removing it from the car. In the software there are sections divided by serial drivers, in fact it is possible to read and program ECUs of:

cars/vans
motorcycle
truck
tractors
marine
TCU / Gear

The vehicle list is constantly updated, along with the internal functions of the software.

Back-to-stock, upgrade and downgrade functions of the ECU software are also available.

In addition to the actual reading, many drivers also have virtual readings available: when the virtual reading is available, the software connects to the DFB servers and downloads the software version file in the ECU in a few seconds.

In older vehicles, there are often round or rectangular diagnostic sockets in place of the standard OBD socket: DFOX allows you to connect with the supplied cable following the diagrams provided.

Before programming the vehicle ECU, DFOX calculates and corrects the Checksum, RSA, CVN of the file and performs the necessary checks on the file to avoid any risk.

The tool offers a number of functions to better manage the reading and writing of ECUs. For example, the Forced Recovery allows to recover the complete dialogue with the ECU, in case something goes wrong and the ECU stops responding (for example: if the cable is accidentally disconnected or the notebook runs out of battery).

Virtual readings, back-to-stock functions and software version upgrades are also available.
